Circa late 1930's sequin brass sequin leaves, reshaped and hand painted. Brown flower petal leaves secured to the necklace with copper wire.

Fall is always a colorful time of the year, blending natural tones with color. "Fall Leaves" begins with brass metal sequins circa 1930's. Heating, bending, cooling the leaves produces a 3D texture effect. An additional 13 step coloring process is added to each leaf, then wire wrapped and soldered. Subtly accented are circa 1930 brown flower petal sequins, a copper pinecone, and 3mm round circa 1940's iridescence sequins making the statement that the season has changed!

Multi-layer dichroic glass with a deep reamed irregular center cut, reflects the copper green oxidation and copper color combined with circa 1940's Belgium sequins. These typical 1940's sequins are made with layers of Mylar and silver. The veins of silver in the sequins and the deep cut in the glass remind us of the dangerous employment of the ancient copper mines.
